Support
Tau helps you coordinate AI agents, follow their work, and answer questions and review requests from the web or your phone.
Contact us
For help with Tau Cloud, Tau Remote, billing, or account access, email support@ficus.sh. Describe what happened, when it happened, and how to reproduce it.
Remove sensitive information from screenshots and logs. Do not email credentials, pairing codes, private repository contents, workspace backups, or private conversation exports.
If troubleshooting requires private information, we will agree on the minimum information needed and a protected way to share it before you send it.
For privacy or deletion requests, use “Privacy request” in the subject. For a suspected vulnerability, use “Security report” and contact us privately.
Connect the mobile app
The Tau Remote app connects to an existing Tau server. You can use a Tau Cloud instance or a compatible self-hosted instance.
- Sign in to your Tau instance in a browser.
- Open its mobile-device pairing controls and generate a pairing QR code.
- Open Tau Remote on your phone and scan the code to connect.
Pairing codes are temporary. If a code expires or has already been used, generate a new one. Your phone must be able to reach the server, including any required private network or VPN. Keep the pairing QR code private: it authorizes access to your account.
Common questions
I can sign in, but I cannot see a squad or review its work
Access depends on the roles assigned to your account on that instance. Contact the instance administrator to check your access. Access for a new account depends on the sign-up policy and any roles assigned by an administrator.
Messages are queued during maintenance
Tau queues work while the server is paused for maintenance and resumes it when maintenance finishes. If the instance stays unavailable, contact its administrator or Tau Cloud support.
I am not receiving notifications
Check that notifications are enabled for Tau Remote in your phone settings and that the relevant notification preferences are enabled on your Tau instance. Review access is also required to act on a review request.
I want to hide work details in notifications
Turn off Show work titles and message previews in Tau's notification settings or Tau Remote settings for your connected instance. Previews are on by default. Turning them off keeps alerts useful with generic wording and work numbers while hiding titles and message excerpts; compatible Live Activity updates also use work numbers instead of titles. Repeat this for each instance you use. Update an older server if Tau Remote says preview controls are unavailable. Device lock-screen settings, content already delivered, and ordinary widgets are separate.
I need to cancel Tau Cloud
Open your Tau Cloud account, select the instance, and use its billing controls. Review the cancellation date and data-retention information before confirming. To permanently delete your Cloud account, open Your account → Delete account and confirm with the code sent to your email. This requests cancellation of all subscriptions and permanent deletion of all instances you own, their active data and shared work, and Tau’s per-instance backup files. Provider-managed recovery backups may retain copies until rotation; see our Privacy Policy. Cleanup runs asynchronously and retries service failures; contact support for an update if it has not completed. Download anything you need first. Uninstalling the mobile app or removing a paired server does not cancel a Cloud subscription or delete server data.
I need a refund
Email support@ficus.sh with the account and charge you want reviewed, without sending full payment-card details. There is no general satisfaction guarantee or routine prorated refund; the incorrect-charge, failed-provisioning and legally required exceptions are described in our Terms.
I use a self-hosted server
Your server administrator controls its availability, accounts, permissions, integrations, backups, and stored work. Contact them first for instance-specific problems. You can still contact us about the Tau software or mobile app.
Report a bug or security issue
For a bug, include your device and operating system, Tau app version, server version if available, and steps to reproduce it. For a suspected vulnerability or exposed credential, email us privately with “Security report” in the subject. Do not post secrets or exploit details in a public issue.
